January 15: Last day to pay your prior year's estimated taxes.
100% of your prior year tax liability or 90% or more of your current year tax liability must be paid by this date to avoid potential penalty and interest charges on the underpaid tax amount. FOR INDIVIDUAL TAXPAYERS ONLY, for tax years beginning in 2018, the final date to pay estimated taxes is changed to January 15 (previously the due date was December 15). This is a mandated change in State Law. PLEASE NOTE: The due dates for net profit estimated tax payments have not changed.
April 15: Deadline to file Wadsworth City income tax returns.
Please note that State law has mandated the filing date of April 15, same as the Federal deadline. The typical return filing deadline is April 15 of each year, but in certain years the IRS approves a later date as the tax filing deadline for annual returns and extension requests in observation of Emancipation Day in the District of Columbia.
Please note: When you are paying a bill you receive from RITA at City Hall, payment can be made only by check or money order. When we are e-filing your return, payment can be made only by credit or debit card, or by direct withdrawal from your bank account.
