Moment with the Mayor for December 21, 2018
Thanks to a generous donation from our Wadsworth Rotary Club, security cameras are being installed at the Soprema Senior Center. The cameras will provide additional security at the community center, where the YMCA and high school have already installed cameras. The Rotary is often looking for ways to help the community, and in addition to their own donation, applied for funding through a regional chapter to fund four security cameras to help prevent vandalism and theft, and to alert the safety forces should an accident occur. I am so appreciative of the Wadsworth Rotary for taking an active part in supporting our community!
I offer my good wishes to each of you as you celebrate Christmas or any opportunity you may have to spend time with family and friends over the next few weeks. My special thoughts are with those serving in our military, as well as their families, who might not have the opportunity to be together during this time of year. In January, once again, I will summarize the City’s accomplishments in 2018 and also the goals that both City Council and the administration have set for 2019. Setting goals each year helps us stay accountable to ourselves and to our citizens, and provides focus and direction, especially for larger projects. We continue to work to meet the challenge of providing the best services to our residents, while keeping a very close eye on expenses. I extend my thanks and warm wishes to our City employees, whose hard work and dedication make my job easier and make our city a better place for all of us.
Until next year…..
Mayor Robin Laubaugh
