Moment with the Mayor for May 12, 2018
College Street Detour
City crews have been working hard to stabilize the area on College Street over Holmesbrook Creek, after the roadway deteriorated around the culvert there a few weeks ago. A temporary traffic signal has been installed to help direct single lane traffic, alternating between the eastbound and westbound roadway. Please be careful approaching the area, as this is a change from the normal traffic flow, and expect some delays, especially during peak periods in the morning and afternoon. This will remain in place for the foreseeable future as the City works to affect a timely effective solution to designing and constructing a full culvert replacement. Hopefully, this will also alleviate some of the traffic backups that motorists have been experiencing at the intersection of Seville Road and SR 57. This project is a priority, but will take time to complete. We appreciate your patience!
