Moment with the Mayor for February 3, 2018
To continue our review of 2018 goals, in the area of public service, we plan to increase customer offerings with new CityLink products. We will also offer to provide local businesses and organizations secure data storage at our off-site datacenter. We will also continue the LED street light conversion and improvements to the electric distribution system to increase outage protection for customers and businesses. In the engineering area, we will oversee the successful completion of the $900 million Broad Street waterline improvement, as well as the $1.25 million Street Improvement Program for this year. In the street department, we plan construct a new salt dome facility. We will study the benefit of constructing waterlines utilizing plastic versus iron, and installing a new SCADA system at the wastewater plant to provide better offsite monitoring and operation.

Fire and EMS
The City Fire & EMS Departments are always accepting applications from city and township residents interested in serving as part-time and paid on-call firefighters and EMT's. We are particularly interested in those residents who currently maintain state certifications in both fire & ems disciplines. Applications can be found on the City webpage under employment opportunities.
