Election & Service
Councilman At Large Tom Stugmyer is involved with many organizations within the City and
Medina County. Appointed to fill a Council vacancy in 2016, he has twice been re-elected.
Currently, Mr. Stugmyer chairs the Economic Development and Planning Committee and serves
on the Public Ways Committee, as well as the Senior Citizens Commission.
Work & Volunteering
Mr. Stugmyer works with Wadsworth Community Radio as an on air personality, along with
producing show and remote broadcasts, on air production and studio engineering. He also
freelances as a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer. He completed an appointment as Interim Executive Director for Main Street Wadsworth, and continues to serve
that organization as the President of the Board of Directors.
Committees & Organizations
The Councilman is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, the Village of St. Edwards, Wadsworth, and the Wadsworth Salvation Army. He is President of the Wadsworth Lions Organization. Mr Stugmyer also serves on the Board of Directors of Higher Orbits, a non profit national organization promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through the use of spaceflight. Mr. Stugmyer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics/Astronomy and Mathematics from The University of Mount Union.
He has been a resident of Wadsworth for 38 years.
