Election & Service
Councilman At Large Tom Stugmyer is involved with many organizations within the City and Medina County. Appointed to fill a Council vacancy in 2016, he has been re-elected for a fourth term. Currently, Mr. Stugmyer chairs the Service Committee and serves on the Economic Development Committee, as well as the Airport Commission. Mr Stugmyer also serves on the Medina County Planning Commission.
Work & Volunteering
Mr. Stugmyer works with Wadsworth Community Radio as an on air personality, along with on air production, remote broadcasts, studio engineering, and sports broadcasting. He also freelances as a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer. He has served as Interim Executive Director for Main Street Wadsworth, and past President of the Board of Directors. He is a member & past board of directors member of the Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Stugmyer received recognition from The Medina County Economic Development Corporation for The Outstanding Medina County Community Advocate Award which is given to an individual whose volunteer activities enhance the economic development of the Medina County community. Mr Stugmyer serves on the Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation Board as well.
Committees & Organizations
Mr. Stugmyer serves on the Board of Directors and the marketing team for Village of St. Edwards, Wadsworth, and the Wadsworth Salvation Army. He is past President of the Wadsworth Lions Organization. Mr. Stugmyer also serves on the Advisory Board of Higher Orbits, a nonprofit national organization promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through the use of spaceflight. Mr. Stugmyer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics/Astronomy and Mathematics from The University of Mount Union.
He has been a resident of Wadsworth for 42 years.
