Ward 2 Councilman Jon Yurchiak began his second term on City Council in 2022. He serves on the Economic Development & Planning Committee, the Public Safety Committee, and the Woodlawn Union Cemetery Board. Previously, he was a member of the Public Ways Committee. He is also a member of the ad hoc Parks Committee, formed in 2021.
Mr. Yurchiak currently works for Patterson Pope as an Account Executive. Much of his career has been focused on project management and event planning. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Associate of Applied Science from The Ohio State University. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for six years.
The Councilman is a member of the Board of Directors of Main Street Wadsworth and currently serves as the treasurer. Mr. Yurchiak represents the City on the Wadsworth Rittman Joint District Hospital Board. In addition, he serves on the Wadsworth Grizzlies Community Foundation.
Mr. Yurchiak married his wife Stephanie 22 years ago and they have lived in Wadsworth since 2015. They are proud parents of three children – Mason, Kyle, and Jenna. Both he and his wife graduated from Wadsworth High School before starting their careers and their family in the Columbus area.
