Council Member Angela “Gie” May is honored to represent Ward 4 for the 2026-2027 term. They serve on the Economic Development and Planning Committee, Public Safety Committee, Storm Water Commission, and the Audit Committee.
Education & Career
May has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and graduated from the Norwayne school district. Since 2013, they have been a dedicated part of the same locally owned insurance company, spending more than a decade helping people and businesses through challenging times of property damage or personal injuries.
Volunteer Work
Council Member May happily volunteered with Medina County Parks, where they have given back for many years to an organization that plays an important role in the county’s health and well-being. May also enjoys participating with Balloons Over Wadsworth and Feeding Medina County. Currently, May volunteers with Wadsworth Alleycats and is proud to serve on Main Street Wadsworth’s Economic Vitality Committee. You’ll often find May lending a hand at downtown First Friday events.
Residence
May has called Wadsworth home since the summer of 2019. Having grown up in Medina County and attended Black River schools for much of their early education, May feels deeply rooted in the community.
