Broad Street Waterline Project

The City of Wadsworth will be replacing water lines on both the north and south sides of Broad Street, between North Lyman and Summit Street. A contractor has been selected and work will begin in February.

Dominion Energy will also be in the same area replacing gas lines through April. Gas line work will extend past the water line work area, in all directions.

Please review the map above- the affected water line areas are highlighted in red. Streets off of Broad may also be affected as their water line connections are being made. Side streets may also be used as staging areas for equipment and trucks.

Residents should expect travel delays and lane closures throughout the project, with possible full closures. The area will be closed to commercial trucks and a detour will be provided.

A public meeting will be held at City Hall on Thursday February 22nd at 6:00pm. Wadsworth businesses and residents are invited learn more about the project and its temporary impacts on traffic and service. If you can't be there in person, it will be recorded to air later on WCTV and available to watch on
