On March 20th, 2020, I signed a State of Emergency for the City of Wadsworth. The declaration assured the City the ability to apply for state and federal reimbursement for certain expenditures related to COVID-19 if funds became available and put temporary policies in place as needed. Throughout the pandemic, our primary objectives were to do our best to keep our residents and employees safe and to continue to provide essential services to the community. We are happy to have been able to accomplish that and are grateful now to see positive signs of returning to our normal behaviors. With improved circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the State of Ohio recently lifted the state’s State of Emergency. I am also lifting the State of Emergency for the City of Wadsworth. The past 15 months have certainly been a difficult time in our world, and sadly, many in Wadsworth have been deeply affected. We encourage all to continue to be mindful of the potential of the spread of disease and to take necessary precautions.
