2020 Balloons Over Wadsworth Festival Cancellation:
Due to COVID-19 and the State’s Orders regarding large gatherings, the 2020 Balloons Over Wadsworth event has been cancelled. The challenges presented by COVID-19 have required difficult decisions with respect to events that many of us look forward to each year. These decisions have been made thoughtfully, out of concern most importantly for the health and safety of our residents. Despite our disappointment, we feel strongly that proceeding with caution, in accordance with the guidance by the State, is best.
Although the governor’s guidelines could change between now and the event, a gathering of this kind involves months of planning and numerous volunteer hours that could not be accomplished in a short time. Balloons Over Wadsworth has grown exponentially over the last couple of years and attracts thousands of people. Though we cannot safely gather together this year, we will continue to invest the time and planning to make next year’s event more memorable than ever.
