Beautify Wadsworth Initiative
OVERVIEW
The goal of this initiative is to encourage beautification within the City of Wadsworth.
The contest specifications are as follows:
- Nomination takes place through a Google Form.
- Anyone can nominate businesses and residences.
- There will be a total of 10 winners:
- 6 residences (3 community winners and 3 council winners)
- 4 businesses (2 community winners and 2 council winners).
- The selection committee is composed of City Council Members or selected by City Council members, and the community.
- Business Selection Criteria: Aesthetically-attractive features which may include street-facing landscaping enhancements, façade, window dressing, decorative additions, and signage.
- Residences Selection Criteria: Aesthetically-attractive features which may include street-facing landscaping enhancements, plant materials, landscape design, home and property maintenance, and decorative additions.
- Voting will take place online
The contest timeline is as follows:
- April - July: Nominations are being accepted
- August: Community and council voting
- End of August: The winners will be contacted and announced on social media
- September: The winners will receive $100 credit on their utility bill.
