The mission of the Wadsworth Police Department is to preserve the public safety and the quality of life within the City of Wadsworth by enforcing the law while respecting the constitutional rights of all citizens, by responding effectively to the changing needs of the community and by promoting mutual respect between the Police Department and the community we serve.
Our vision is to be a progressive law enforcement agency providing high quality police services. We will strive to continuously improve our community partnerships and programs, equipment and technologies, and the professional development of all personnel.
Applications will only be accepted in person Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm in the Human Resources Department located within City Hall. The Application period is April 15, 2019 to May 28, 2019. Applicant will be required to pay a non-refundable filing fee of $20.00 at the time of the application. The test will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019. See the Application for further details.
The application period for the 2019 Safety Forces Camp is now closed. However, we are accepting applications for the standby list. This standby list will be used in case a currently enrolled student cancels their attendance at the camp. Applicants on the standby list will be contacted in the order they are received.
