About the Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation

The Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation (WOAF) provides support to the programs and services affiliated with the Wadsworth Center for Older Adults. Foundation members work closely with Center staff and volunteers to plan and implement these events and other Center programs. Visit the WOAF website at or their Facebook page at

An exciting addition arrived at the Soprema Senior Center in January 2021! The Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation generously purchased a new automated check-in system called MySeniorCenter that will be launched once we can safely reopen the SSC building. Designed specifically for senior centers, members will receive a keytag to swipe across a digital scanner to check in and use a simple touch screen to sign up for activities and programs of their choice. This will assist Center staff and volunteers in MANY ways!  More details will be coming in the spring edition of the Soprema Senior Center newsletter.

For now, part of the amazing MySeniorCenter system is the online registration capability via MyActiveCenter, which launched in January ! Participants can now register for all Zoom programs right from this system. Email the Soprema Senior Center staff at and they will send you a link and simple instructions to get you started! Program registrations are still accepted by email and phone as well.

iPad Loan Program

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation generously purchased iPads to loan to area seniors. Thanks to a generous grant from the Medina County Senior Services Network in December 2020, the WOAF has purchased additional iPads to loan out on a first-come, first-served basis for members wanting to participate in Soprema Senior Center programming and to connect safely with family and friends. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the SSC at or 330-335-1513. Please note that a Wi-Fi  connection is needed to use the iPads.
