Our Mission

The City of Wadsworth prides itself in offering efficient and user-friendly utility service, including offering a one-bill system, which combines electric, water, sewer, sanitation, cable, Internet and storm water utilities in one payment. As the City constantly aims to improve upon its service to Wadsworth's homes and businesses, it now looks forward to offering the next generation of utility service.

To continue to provide our homes and businesses with the most reliable service, the City of Wadsworth is conducting a citywide upgrade of its water and electric meters.

The new system will ensure accurate meter readings and notify us of any problem with your service that needs immediate attention.

Water Meter Upgrade

When: Beginning in November 2010 and throughout 2011 Who: City has contracted a private company, Vanguard Utility Service, Inc., to accomplish this task in as timely and efficient a manner as possible. How: Representatives from Vanguard will knock on your door to install your new water meter. If you are either unavailable at that time or away from your residence or business, the representative will leave a door hanger inviting you to make an appointment with the installer. Details: Installation will take approximately 15-30 minutes.

Electric Meter Upgrade

When: Beginning in December 2010 and throughout 2011 Who: City personnel will be completing these installations. How: City representatives will knock on your door when they've arrived, but because the work will be completed outside of the building, you do not need to be present at the time of this installation. Details: During your electric meter replacement, you will experience a brief power outage (approximately five minutes).
