Wadsworth Police Department Goes High Tech
The Wadsworth Police Department (W.P.D.) has
added various social media outlets to their list of crime-fighting tools, but
also to disseminate relevant information to the public.
The Wadsworth Police now has a Facebook
account and can be found on that website at www.facebook.com/wadsworthpd. The
public is encouraged to become ‘fans’ of the Wadsworth P.D. Facebook page and
visit the site to see the latest news on the operations of the department.
There is also a Twitter option to receive notices
from the department. The public can go
to the Twitter website and sign up to follow the news/information of the Wadsworth
Police Department at http://twitter.com/wadsworthpd.
Additionally, members of the W.P.D. rely on
the public to help keep the city of Wadsworth a safe place to live and work by
asking that any suspicious or unusual behavior be reported to the W.P.D. so
that a patrol officer can investigate the circumstances. The regular telephone number to reach the
W.P.D. is (330) 334-1511. Crimes in progress
or other emergencies should be reported to 9-1-1.
Anonymous information, tips or leads may be
telephoned in to a voice mail box at (330) 335-2769. This mailbox is not continuously
monitored. If an immediate police
response is necessary, the (330) 334-1511 or 9-1-1 telephone numbers should be utilized.
