The Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation provides support to the
programs and services affiliated with the Wadsworth Center
for Older Adults.
Popular Foundation-supported events include the annual Rummage
Sale, Senior Citizens Prom, Courtyard Café, Rib Cook-off, and Fall Festival.
Foundation members work closely with Center staff and volunteers
to plan and implement these events and other Center programs.
The Foundation (also known as WOAF) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
organization. WOAF encourages and accepts gifts from individuals,
corporations and foundations on behalf of the Wadsworth Center for Older Adults.
WOAF has served Wadsworth's
senior community for over thirty years and has been a long standing source of
financial support to the Center.
In 2007, WOAF's Board
of Trustees completed a strategic planning process which resulted in the
expansion and revitalization of WOAF's purpose, mission, vision and goals.
