How Your Tax Dollars Are Spent
Income tax funds are expended to administer income tax activities, and then distributed for operation of the General Fund*, the Recreation Fund, the Street Fund, for Capital Improvements and for operating City Hall. Income tax dollars for the past three years were distributed as in the table below.
On a cash basis, the City of Wadsworth collected $6,511,354 in income taxes for fiscal year 2009. Also in 2009, $53,867 was paid to the schools for tax sharing agreements.
