WADSWORTH HIGH SCHOOL & COMMUNITY CAMPUS
The unique collaboration between the City of Wadsworth, Wadsworth City Schools, Wadsworth Public Library, and Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital continues as updated plans for the new High School and Community Center were unveiled at a community meeting on April 13th. The 450,000 square foot building will incorporate a health center, fitness center, Center for Older Adults, WCTV,
and a community library.

New Track At WHS open to Community
The new track at the WHS and WMS campus is now open to the
public. Please keep to the track surface as the grass was just planted
in the fall.
Parking: There is additional parking at the new track. Access to
the track via the drive between WHS and WMS. Overflow parking is
available in the large parking lot located between WHS and WMS.
Restrictions to Access: From 7:00 - 7:45 a.m. and again from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m., the access is not
available due to busing of the WHS and WMS students. Once the campus
is complete, access will be available from both WHS and WMS access
drives.
Restrictions to Use: The athletes of WHS and WMS use the facility for practice
after school until 5:30 p.m. daily. In addition, the track will be used
for meets based on the athletic schedule. For specific dates and
times, please visit the school website.
Elementary Buildings Groundbreaking Ceremonies
Please
join us on Tuesday, April 19, for the Wadsworth City Schools
Groundbreaking Ceremony for the three new elementary buildings will be on Tuesday, April 19th at 4 p.m..
Overlook Elementary School
groundbreaking will be held at 4 p.m. at the new building site at 650
Broad Street. Please park at the current Overlook Elementary or
Wadsworth High School.
Valley View Elementary School
groundbreaking will be at 5 p.m. behind the current Valley View
building. Parking is available in the teacher parking lot or in
designated parking areas along the street.
Isham Elementary School groundbreaking
will be at 6 p.m. behind the current Isham Elementary School. Parking is
available in the teacher parking lot or in designated parking areas by
the bus garage.
If it rains, the ceremony will be held
in the respective existing elementary gymnasium. There will be a chance
for anyone wanting to take pictures with a groundbreaking
shovel. Cookies and punch will be served after each ceremony.
