Information For New Homebuyers or Builders                                                    Before purchasing a new lot or existing home, it is advisible to know the zoning district in which your property is located, the minimum setbacks and if there are any public or private easements on your property. Zoning setbacks and easements may affect the placement of future building additions, decks, detached garages, storage sheds, swimming pools, fences or other structures. The builder, seller or realtor should be able to provide you with this information, but they may not if you don't ask first. Property encumberances such as easements, will be shown on the final subdivision plat. Copies of recently platted subdivisions are viewable at the City's Building & Planning Departments or the MedinaCounty Recorder's Office. For additional zoning information, please contact the Plannning Department at 330-335-2753.
