Comprehensive Plan Update
The next meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee is scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2:30PM in City Council Chambers. For more information about the planning process, click here: Comprehensive Plan.
Transportation Study
The City has also received grant funding from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) to undertake transportation planning studies. The study consists of three major components:
- Assessisng the feasibility of public transportation in the City
- Developing a multi-use trail along an abandoned trolley right-of-way in the SE quadrant from downtown to Silvercreek Road
- Developing conceptual designs for a parking lot/multimodal transportation hub at Mills and Watrusa Streets in the southwest quadrant of downtown.

A public hearing regarding this transportation study will be held by City Council at its meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:30PM. Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed document is encouraged to attend this hearing.
In matters involving zoning amendments and planning documents, the Planning Commission acts in an advisory capacity to City Council. As the process process
proceeds, another public hearing may be held by City Council or one of it's subcommittees. Dates and times for all public hearings related to this study will be posted here.

Office Hours
The Department is open to the public from 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, except for City Holidays.
