Did
you know that you can order a certified copy of a birth or death certificate by
phone or online (with a credit card) or by mail (pay by check), and have it
within a day or two after the request is placed?
Beginning January 1, 2011, changes
at the state level mean that you can no longer obtain birth or death
certificates at Wadsworth City Hall; but, a new state access system will now allow
you to obtain birth certificates in counties other than where the individual was born, as long as the person was
born in Ohio (see area locations below).*
Pricing and procedures for
obtaining the certificates vary from location to location, so check the
websites or give them a call for more information.You may wish to call a location before
stopping in, just to be sure that the certificate you need is available.
